About the Event
Debra L. Gish: Founder/Director, Gish, Paz & Associates and Crones Landing; Published Author, numerous UN reports; and Displaced: A perilous true story of an expatriate working to right wrongs from the past; Founder/Managing Editor, Crone Chronicles 20-20, and her poetry is featured in Best American Poets 2015, 2016, 2019.
Dedicating her life to proving woman's worth, Debra works as an international development practitioner, learning coach, and peace mediator engaged in women’s, elder’s, and indigenous rights, transformative justice, disaster relief, child workers, immigration reform, human trafficking and gender-based violence.
She left the USA in 1996 to serve as USAID Mission Chief in post-war El Salvador. Her leadership in post-war countries continued by directing programs for international organizations & NGOs, e.g., Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, Serbia-Montenegro, and Papua New Guinea with Irish Aid, CARE, CRS, US State Dept., US Labor Dept., USAID, UNICEF, UNODC, UN Women and UNDP.
